Varo senza variabili

Restauro dello scafo terminato. Praticamente nuovo! Mi ci specchio insieme ai muggini. Poco da aggiungere. Solemia è una barca favolosa, solida, inimitabile. Di seguito tre righe tre sulla storia di questa “sciabola” del mare del nord, il Sabre 27:
disegnata da Alan F. Hill, il primo prototipo fu costruito nel 1969 da Eric White della Marine Construction (UK) Ltd Marcon. Tra il 1969 ed il ‘79 sono state varate 400 di queste storiche e solide imbarcazioni a vela. Gli stampi sono ancora in archivio e pronti all’uso, nonché detenuti dalla Brue Yachts di Highbridge, nel Somerset. Le modifiche al disegno nel corso degli anni sono state davvero poche. E vi lascio immaginare il motivo: è semplicemente perfetta!

Restoration of the hull is done. Nothing much to say. Solemia is an amazing, solid, exciting sailboat! Following a short history of this historic “sabre” of the north sea:
the Sabre 27 was designed by Alan F. Hill and the prototype was built in 1969 by Eric White of Marine Construction (UK) Ltd (Marcon). Between 1969 and 1979 some 400 hulls were moulded. The moulds are still in existence and are owned by Brue Yachts of Highbridge, Somerset. Modifications to the prototype were few.
